🎉 CACCC 2026 Yuandan Concert & Community Celebration Highlights
A Joyful Start to the New Year Through Culture, Music, and Community
On December 28, 2025, the Central Alberta Chinese Culture Centre (CACCC) proudly hosted the 2026 Yuandan Concert & Community Party, bringing together families, children, seniors, and friends from diverse backgrounds to welcome the New Year with joy, connection, and cultural celebration.
🌱 A Warm and Meaningful Opening
The event began with a potluck gathering, where community members shared homemade dishes and meaningful conversations, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
The Opening Ceremony followed with a Land Acknowledgement, warm welcome remarks by Lidia Li, President of CACCC, and guest remarks from Mr. Zhang, Principal of the Chinese School, setting a respectful and hopeful tone for the year ahead.
🎭 Cultural Performances That Brought the Stage to Life
The concert featured a vibrant lineup of performances by children, youth, and adults, showcasing the beauty of cultural expression through music, movement, and song:
- Piano performance by Jerry Chang
- Tai Chi and Tai Chi Fan performances by Lyla
- Dance performances by the CACCC Dance Group
- Group songs by Chinese School students
- Solo vocal performance and multicultural musical pieces
Young performers confidently took the stage, many for the first time, supported by teachers, volunteers, and families cheering them on. Their courage and enthusiasm truly touched the audience.
🎯 Traditional Games & Hands-On Experiences
After the concert, participants enjoyed traditional Chinese games such as:
- Chinese jump rope
- Shuttlecock kicking
- Rope skipping
- Beanbag throwing
These interactive activities brought laughter, movement, and intergenerational bonding. Later, families explored calligraphy for New Year wishes and relaxation tracing, offering a calm and creative close to the day.
💛 A Community Effort
The event concluded with volunteers and participants working together to clean up—reflecting CACCC’s spirit of shared responsibility, gratitude, and community care.

2025年12月28日，中阿尔伯塔中华文化中心（CACCC）成功举办了 2026 元旦文艺演出暨社区联欢活动。来自不同背景的家庭、孩子和长者齐聚一堂，以音乐、舞蹈和传统文化迎接新一年的到来。
🌱 温馨而有意义的开场
活动以百乐餐与社区交流拉开序幕，大家分享美食、轻松交流，增进彼此的联系。
开幕仪式中，进行了土地致敬，并由 CACCC 主席 Lidia Li 及 中文学校校长张老师 致辞，为新一年送上祝福。
🎭 多元文化的精彩演出
本次演出内容丰富，涵盖钢琴、太极、舞蹈与合唱，许多孩子首次登台表演，在掌声与鼓励中展现自信与成长。
🎯 传统游戏与互动体验
演出结束后，大家参与了跳皮筋、踢毽子、跳大绳等传统游戏，并体验新年书法与放松描画活动，现场充满欢笑与温情。
💛 社区的力量
活动在大家共同协助整理场地中圆满结束，体现了社区互助与感恩的精神。
