In this engaging 90-minute presentation, we explored various facets of Chinese culture, including cuisine, traditional musical instruments, clothing, and architecture. The session provided a concise introduction to each of these elements.
Our main focus was on one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature, “Journey to the West.” We provided a high-level overview of the key figures in the book and its structure. Attendees enjoyed a video clip about Sun Wukong, the Monkey King, on YouTube, which brought the story to life.
We also touched on the religious landscape of China, discussing how Buddhism was introduced and integrated into Chinese culture.
The presentation concluded with a hands-on calligraphy practice session, where all the children had the opportunity to try their hand at writing with traditional brushes.
